Experiencing spiritual ecstasy does not mean you fear God and it does not mean you have encountered Jesus. The fear of the Lord is different from spiritual ecstasy. Because you feel pleasure from the scriptures or church does not mean you have received Him. The power of scripture is the manifestation of God’s wisdom and ecstasy but one who fears the Lord is one who is a witness of Jesus and is led by the Holy Spirit. Spiritual ecstasy without Christ is the manifestation of gifts without love, reading scripture for knowledge and wisdom and ignoring Jesus, over consuming biblical and spiritual content but not seeking Jesus, “loving” Jesus but not keeping His commandments.
Don’t entertain the lust of the flesh with Bible knowledge and call it “walking in the spirit”. Many people, especially on social media, are sharing, teaching, and practicing scripture for spiritual ecstasy to satisfy their flesh, not because they fear the Lord and are spirit led. Check your heart!
